Founding member of WBKO-TV passes away

Nellie Brown, a founding member of our WBKO family has passed away. Nellie, her husband George, and her brother Joe Walters put this TV station on the air June 3, 1962 when it was called WLTV.
Even after the station went through several ownership changes and changed its name to WBKO, Nellie was here every day, serving as our business manager for decades. She passed away peacefully in her sleep overnight.
Nellie Brown was 97 years old.
