Topeka, Kansas (KSNT News) – KSNT News is pleased to announce that Jesse Fray has been named News Director. Fray comes from KCTV5 in Kansas City, where he has been Senior Executive Producer.

“I couldn’t be happier to be back in Topeka, joining KSNT News,” Fray stated. “You can trust we’ve got your back-providing the quality news, weather, and sports you rely on.”

Fray is eager to return to Topeka, where he got his start as an investigative journalist. His award-winning reporting can be credited for saving taxpayers money and making Topeka schools safer. By exposing loopholes in laws and policies, and scrutinizing spending, his reporting has led to productive change in government.

Fray has spent a majority of his career in Kansas. He has worked in Wichita, where he helped cover the reemergence and arrest of BTK. The notorious serial killer went dormant for three decades before communicating cryptically with his TV station, and eventually being captured.

Jean Turnbough, KSNT News General Manager, stated, “We’re excited to have Jesse on-board. He brings remarkable knowledge and experience to our team-experience that will only elevate the quality of news we provide our viewers.”

Fray’s news management career has included time in Lawrence and Kansas City, where he’s coached journalists to win the big stories and produce comprehensive severe weather coverage, to keep viewers and mobile users safe.

Fray looks forward to standing up for the Kansans who need a voice, holding the powerful accountable, and telling the stories that matter. He can be reached at Jesse.Fray@ksnt.com.About KSNT News
