Hair to Oversee Exclusive Television Home of the Boston Celtics and Comprehensive Coverage of New England Sports
STAMFORD, Conn. – October 20, 2016 – NBC Sports Group has appointed Princell Hair SVP and General Manager of CSN New England, the NBC Sports Regional Network serving New England’s passionate fan base that stretches across six states. Hair, the SVP of News and Talent for NBC Sports Group since 2012, has more than two decades of national and local programming experience. The announcement was made today by David Preschlack, President, NBC Sports Regional Networks, and NBC Sports Group Platform and Content Strategy.
“Princell has a strong track record of contributions at NBC Sports Group and a deep understanding of our RSN business,” said Preschlack. “His expertise in talent relations and strong leadership qualities will advance our growth in this important market.”
Reporting to Ted Griggs, President, Group and Strategic Production & Programming for NBC Sports Regional Networks, Hair will relocate to Boston and assume leadership of CSN New England’s exclusive media partnership with the Boston Celtics. In addition to the Celtics, CSN New England also broadcasts live New England Revolution Major League Soccer games, several exclusive programs surrounding the New England Patriots and comprehensive coverage of the region’s sports landscape.
Hair succeeds former CSN New England GM Bill Bridgen, who was recently promoted to President, Group Leader, NBC Sports Regional Networks, and now oversees CSN Bay Area, CSN California, CSN Chicago and CSN Northwest.
