SCBA serves as the voice for South Carolina Radio and Television stations by providing educational resources for members, communicating essential information for the public, and lobbying for legislation that supports broadcasters’ commitment to serving their communities.

Executive Committee - Student Engagement Committee Chair (January 2025 - )

The Grady Society Alumni Board (“Board” or “Grady Society”) is an advisory group that is
responsible for contributing to, and supporting the development of the activities, alumni and
friends of the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. These
responsibilities also extend to the College, which relies on the Board as a resource to help
advance its mission.

I participate through informational interviews, connecting with students for approximately 30-minute conversations to learn their work, life and career-related questions. As a first-generation UGA graduate from a small, rural community, it's important to me to help others see pathways I didn't recognize when I was in school.

The mission of Rotary is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. We ask ourselves in things we say and do:

Is it the truth?
Is it fair to all concerned?
Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

Southeast Alabama Community Theatre (SEACT) has a mission to enrich the cultural lives of Wiregrass residents through the presentation of high quality theatre, to provide creative opportunities to talented individuals to perform on stage and behind the scenes, and to introduce the theatrical experience to school-aged children. I served on the local event planning committee providing marketing expertise, primarily for the annual 5K fundraiser.

Appointed by PANCAN (Manhattan Beach, CA) to serve in the top local leadership position, I helped rejuvenate local volunteer recruitment, fundraising and awareness initiatives, leading the reboot of the local PurpleStride event after it suffered some setbacks. This community event featuring a competitive 5K, family entertainment and activities revived, generating more than $559,000 toward pancreatic cancer research and victim support during my period of service as Affiliate Chair.
