Monday, April 6, 2026 UPDATE: Greetings: There’s a news director change in a top 15 market today, and we have two updates from items from last night’s newsletter. LAURA EVANS, who’s been the news director for Cox Media’s KIRO-TV (CBS) in Seattle, left the station today. She’s been the news director there for almost three years, following 1 1/2 years as ND for sister Cox station WHIO-TV (CBS) in Dayton, OH. Thursday, June 19, 2025 UPDATE: Greetings: It struck us as an unusual move when it happened last month, and we have the same reaction now that it has (new word alert!) unhappened. JEFF HOFFMAN has left Tegna’s WKYC-TV (NBC) in Cleveland after just one month as news director. While Jeff had been an ND in the past, his last three jobs had been GM positions, including an almost ten year run as GM for WKMG-TV (Graham/CBS) in Orlando, which he left earlier this year.
