Wednesday, April 5, 2017 UPDATE: RTDNA has named former chair and longtime board member DAN SHELLEY to be its next executive director. Monday, March 27, 2017 UPDATE: News today about two one-time news directors turned general manager. BRUNO COHEN has announced his retirement.  He’s currently GM for CBS’s KPIX-TV in San Francisco, a job he’s held for five years at a station at which he was once news director.  He’ll stay on until his replacement is named. Bruno’s also been a GM in Chicago and Sacramento, a news director in New York, and has worked for Buena Vista Productions and CNBC, among others.  The whole story is here on his Linkedin page. Thursday, March 9, 2017 UPDATE: One of our industry’s nicest people…at least in my estimation…is stepping down from his job in mid-April. BRIAN BRACCO told me he’s not ‘retiring’ but ‘re-wiring’. He’s currently the General Manager for Scripps’ KSHB-TV (NBC)in Kansas City. Many of you will remember him from a long career with Hearst, first as ND for KMBC-TV (ABC) in Kansas City and later as VP/News for the company.
